About Annie

Annie was born in 1956 in the heart of the Kentish countryside. She grew up loving her natural surroundings and always felt a dedication to creating Painting and Sculpture. After completing her A Levels she moved to London and gained a B.A. Honours Degree studying Fine Art and Photography at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design.

She then worked as a Specialist Pottery Painter in London and subsequently moved to Gloucestershire where she worked as an industrial potter, learning the skills of using commercial pottery equipment.

After pursuing a Post Graduate Course at Sussex University she taught Ceramics, Fine Art and Textiles in several schools.

After teaching for 15 years Annie felt the need to give her own work more dedication as well as offering a retreat for a few of the rejected animals living in local sanctuaries.

Annie’s Studio now sits in the heart of the Kentish countryside - an absolute haven of inspiration for her work.

She works mainly by commission and during the past ten years has worked on a variety of projects including large murals, ceramic sculptures, portraits, personalised pottery and highly decorated loo seats.

Annie is dedicated to producing work of a professional standard but is always ready to instigate some humour into a piece of seemingly serious work.
